“The painter Paul Klee once said that drawing is simply ‘taking a line for a walk’. If the same idea could be applied to painting, substitute ‘colour’ for ‘line’.

I often stand in front of the blank canvas and wonder what journey I am about to begin. Not always, but I often have no preconceived idea, no drawing-nothing but the spontaneous first random selection of brush and paint, then I start working it onto the canvas and see where it leads me”
