Students discuss picture books and how stories and illustrations work together.
The workshops are structured to stimulate creativity and increase the student’s confidence in their own writing and illustrations.
The Picture Book Workshops are tailored for the different age groups.

“In workshops we discuss picture books and how different writers and illustrators approach them. We also discuss endangered species and Australian history, the main themes that run through my books. We work together exploring line, shape, texture and different illustration styles, and discover ‘HOW TO TELL THE WHOLE STORY’ in your illustrations.”

“In a 60 minute presentation, we discuss picture books and how different writers and illustrators approach them. We also discuss endangered species and Australian history, the main themes that run through my books.
There are also STORIES ABOUT US – our history, our ancestors and our heroes.”
Storytelling

Storytelling sessions are 45 min. for mixed groups from pre-school and up.
They consist of stories from my books Migaloo, Little Dolphin, Journey of the Sea Turtle & ‘Where’s My Quoll Gone?’
Mark also tells stories about his childhood and his army hat!
Sessions all end with drawing, drawing, drawing!
